About the Editor's Version of the lesson plan

Grammar Section – The grammar section of the lesson plan is where target grammar is explained. You can change it so that it fits your particular needs (and those of your students).

Presentation and Production Sections – These two sections and the exercises they include can be edited to fit your needs. Add or remove vocabulary, change sentences/ questions, or exercises altogether. Add/ remove images, and activities.

*The listening exercises may undergo changes in terms of changing the blanks. However, please note that if you make changes to the text itself, you will not be able to use the audio, and will need to read the text to your students.

Why is the Editor’s Version of the lesson plan more expensive?
The original plans (.pdf versions) are made using different software which allows for achieving high-quality printing, and to make the contents editable and usable in MS Word, the plans need to be made almost from scratch. The process takes time and effort. Also, buying the editor’s version guarantees that you will have full control over the contents, and will be able to edit them as many times and in as many ways as you like.

Last but not least, the lesson plans on this website are the original work of their creators, and it is only fair to reward the talent and time put into creating the plans given that we are making them available to others to alter and edit.

About the lesson (plan)

  • Target English Grammar: Tenses For Future Actions (Present Continuous, Future Simple, going to + inf)
    Please note, this is a Grammar Review Lesson – students must be familiar with these tenses before this lesson!
  • Target Vocabulary: Accepting / Rejecting Invitations and Special Events in English.

Presentation: (page 2, 3, 4)

  • 1. Look at the three invitations. Discuss them.
  • 3 invitations for three different events – a wedding, a birthday party, and a movie. The discussion is focused on what the events are, who is invited, and what you should wear.
    (talking exercise/ focus on target vocabulary.)

  • 2. Listen to the text. Fill in the blanks.
  • Tell about Sabrina’s birthday invitation she sent to a friend, and what her friend is going to do before the party.
    (Listening comprehension exercise that targets focus vocabulary.)

  • 3. Answer the following questions.
  • (Tests how well the text in the previous exercise was understood. )
